Synopsis: The Atlantic high pressure system is the dominant feature. Forecast: After a few brief early morning showers, it will become mostly sunny and warm. Wind: ENE - E at 15 to 35 km/h. Seas: Slight to moderate in open water with swells from 1.0m to 2.0m.
Eastern Caribbean Outlook Today: The surface to mid-level Atlantic high pressure system will be the dominant feature over Barbados, the central and southern Windward islands allowing for mostly fair weather conditions. In addition, model data is indicating a relatively dry lower-mid to upper levels of the atmosphere which will inhibit any significant cloud development.
While over the Leeward islands, surface to low level moisture embedded in the predominantly northeasterly through easterly surface to low level wind flow is likely to trigger a few showers over that area.
